Born in 1967, this self-taught artist has steadily carved a space in the contemporary Indian art scene through a distinct visual voice and an evolving practice. His solo shows include The Grid at Ganges Art Gallery, Kolkata (2010), The Black & White in Pondicherry, and earlier exhibitions at the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata.
His collaborative and curated efforts include the two-person exhibition Northern Light, Southern Stories with a Norwegian artist at Gallery K2, Kolkata (2015), and Union of Uniqueness in Dhaka, Bangladesh (2008), among others. He has also participated in several sponsored and group exhibitions at Maya Art Space, Gallery Range, and ICCR Gallery.
